Tattoo Studio: Mommy I'm Sorry

Mommy I'm Sorry is Europe's largest tattoo brand and one of the most influential names in fine-line tattooing. Founded in Stuttgart in 2006 and now followed by over half a million people, the studio has spent two decades reshaping how tattoos are seen, moving the form out of subculture and into the worlds of art, design, and fashion.

That ambition has produced the first runway show staged entirely around tattooed bodies, full-body conceptual editorials, and a high-fashion collaboration with Parisian label YOUTHOFPARIS. Mommy I'm Sorry isn't just a studio; it's a cultural brand built around the idea that a tattoo is wearable art, a fashion statement that outlasts every trend.

The designs available on Blackdot are curated by founder Alexander Supper, who works with the studio's artists to develop each collection. What's on offer is the Mommy I'm Sorry aesthetic, filtered through AJ's creative direction.

What to expect

Does it hurt less than a traditional tattoo ?

Yes — significantly less.

Most clients describe traditional tattooing as a 6–7 out of 10 on the pain scale.

Blackdot is typically rated around a 1–2 out of 10.

Because the system delivers ink with controlled, consistent precision and minimal skin trauma, the experience feels far gentler than conventional tattooing.

While sensitivity varies depending on placement and individual tolerance, clients are often surprised by how comfortable the process is.

What is the healing time ?

Healing time depends on the placement and your body, but Blackdot tattoos typically heal faster than traditional tattoos. Most clients experience surface healing within 1–2 weeks, with full healing generally completed in 3–4 weeks. Following proper aftercare ensures the best results.

What do I need to bring to my appointment ?

Please bring a valid government-issued ID, as well as your confirmation details. We recommend arriving well-rested, hydrated, and having eaten beforehand. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed.
